ICCA 2026
Project members Leelo Keevallik and Eiko Yasui organized a panel at ICCA2026, in Edmonton, Canada, on June 29th. Entitled “A praxeological account of ‘ellipsis’”, the panel featured presentations by project members as well as other researchers working at the interface of grammar and the body.
The conference was followed by the project’s second meeting. We examined the specificities of the different languages represented in the project through selected examples contributed by each project member. We also engaged in a theoretical discussion of how ellipsis has been conceptualized across different linguistic approaches.
Nordisco 2025
We participated with a panel at Nordisco 2025 in Trondheim, Norway, on 3-5 Dec. 2025. The panel, entitled “Syntax as a multimodal phenomenon”, showcased ongoing work by project members and the advisory board.
Our official project launch meeting took place on 2 December 2025 in Trondheim, Norway, in conjunction with Nordisco 2025. The workshop consisted of work-in-progress presentations of the project members, as well as detailed discussions with the Advisory Board. We thank all advisory board members for their insightful comments!
